 July 11, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nellie McKay\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Madison Square Park\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 July 11, 2012<\/p>\n<p>McKay has mastered aspects of the cabaret\/supper-club room sensibility, then uses it as a springboard for sly devastating humor both in her programming and banter.\u00a0 Her solid chops, endearing kooky mannerisms, impeccable delivery, and sympatico band added up to a package of quirky sophistication.\u00a0 Song selection from a broad swath of popular culture is putty in her hands.\u00a0 My tough decision was whether to sketch her playing piano or ukulele,\u00a0 as she split her time about equally between the two;
