This group exists where Bob Wills western swing intersects with Django musette (his stuff was mostly drum-less, no?) somewhere in Greenwich Village (according to the recited lore).\u00a0 Ballard Park is a dignified and lovely setting, always good access to muscians for autographs, and we try to get to at least one “CHIRP” per year.\u00a0 Smith has his L-5 amplification so down, playing through a vintage small amp miked just right for that perfect 1940’s era crackling distortion.\u00a0 Pretty full sound for a trio.<\/p>\n
