Gary Clark Jr. – Central Park Summerstage – July 2, 2012
Clark is the latest in the line of hot Texas electric blues guitar-slingers. He has dialed (and loudly!) into Hendrix’s tone, skipping over the let’s-bring-Jimi-to-Texas of SRV, and instead is bringing Texas to Hendrix, with “Third Stone” a basis for a diverse excursion. Following is mostly the college age crowd, not your typical blues aficianados; perhaps this is a good sign.
